RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Flexible scheduling as long as it meets department needs
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend (Days - Saturday & Sunday, Nights - Friday & Saturday)
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• May float to Mother Baby unit
• Level II NICU with 10 beds and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-3 depending on acuity
• Must have 2 years of experience (will consider 1 year with multiple travel experiences)
• Must be competent in couplet care in postpartum and able to attend deliveries
• Must have Level II NICU experience with stabilization and attending high and low risk deliveries
• Experience required with postpartum couplet care including well newborns and maternal care
• Must be experienced with respiratory equipment including vents, bubble CPAP, and high flow
• Care for babies with low birth weight, prematurity, respiratory conditions, hemodynamic issues, tube feeds, and substance abuse recovery
• Work with typical drips, TPN, and lipids
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Unit-specific orientation includes 8-hour compliance day, 8-hour Epic class, and 2-3 twelve-hour shifts
• EPIC charting system
• Manager conducts phone interview and provides ongoing feedback
• BSN not required
