Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week required, with option for 4 shifts per week at regular rates
• Two weekend shifts per pay period required
• Night shift preference, first to float when needed
• Float to ICU (preferred) and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units (required)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• Minimum 1 year PCU experience required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Active Arizona nursing license in good standing required
• Navy scrubs and business appropriate hair color required
• Provide acute care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and surgical services
• Manage patients from cath lab interventions and post-operative open heart surgery
• Care for STEMI and NSTEMI patients, chronic vents, alcohol withdrawal, and suicidal ideation cases
• Handle peritoneal dialysis, chest tubes, epidural catheters, PCA pumps, transvenous pacing
• Perform arterial or venous sheath pulling and care
• Work with Philips Cardiac Monitors, Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitors, invasive monitoring equipment
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Pyxis medication dispenser, Zoll R series, Sigma Spectrum IV pumps
• 50-mile radius rule applies, no recent employment with CommonSpirit facilities

Cons
Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
