RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to Emergency Department as needed when volumes surge
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:3-4 on 10-bed Med/Tele Swing Unit
• Care for adults, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric patients
• Majority of census includes swing bed patients requiring IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care
• Medical patients include diabetic, pancreatitis, pneumonia cases
• Weekend requirements: at least every 3rd weekend, sometimes every other
• Holiday rotation per unit needs
• Self-scheduling with manager approval
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 2 days of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius and not be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• EPIC charting system used
• Small team environment requiring willingness to help wherever needed
