RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in 2C Observation Unit with 22 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 with charge nurse in staffing
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• Float to medical surgical units as needed
• 3-shift unit orientation provided
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover
• Handle up to 16 discharges per day with frequent admissions
• Work with miscellaneous medical observation patients
• Heavy telemetry unit monitored by central monitoring
• RNs perform own EKGs and draw own lab work
• Manage heparin drips as needed
• Work with 2 CNAs when staffing allows
• No ventilators on unit
• Strict 75-mile radius rule applies
• Required certification: BLS (ACLS highly recommended but not required)
• BSN degree not required
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom) OR White top with Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white scrubs
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
