RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as scheduled
• Stepdown ratio: 1 RN to 3 patients; Floor ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
• 32-bed unit (all private rooms) with 22 stepdown beds and 12 floor beds
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cardiac/vascular experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, TPA, Lasix, and dobutamine
• Care for cardiac surgery post-op patients including CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, and heart transplants
• Manage vascular surgery patients including AAA repairs, CEA procedures, and amputations
• Handle cardiology cases such as STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Floating requirements to sister units within Heart and Vascular Institute
• Dress code requires solid royal blue and white scrubs
• 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• EPIC charting system
• Overtime opportunities available
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

The facility operates a specialized 32-bed unit with all private rooms, offering advanced cardiac and vascular services including complex surgical procedures, interventional cardiology, and post-operative care. The unit maintains 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor coverage, with dedicated monitor technicians and clinical associates to support patient care.
