RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• First to float among staff
• Team scheduling with possible self-scheduling or block scheduling
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3-6
• Work on 19-bed Med-Tele Acute/Obs and Swingbed unit
• Care for patients with pneumonia, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, GI bleed, and rehabilitation needs
• Must have skills in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, NG tube management, and foley insertion
• Required to read own telemetry strips using Mindray monitors
• Set up and manage respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• May participate as part of the code team
• Work with one CNA per shift who handles personal care, vitals, and weights
• Float to Med/Tele Acute/Obs/Swingbed units as needed
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience required
• Medical and telemetry experience required
• Previous travel experience not required
• No drip titration required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Provide own scrubs in any color
• Typically 3-4 twelve-hour orientation shifts
• No call or standby requirements
