RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement with potential holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• 26-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have 3 years of Medical/Surgical-Telemetry experience
• PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
• LTAC experience beneficial
• Must be able to titrate drips including insulin, amiodarone, and levophed
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required
• Must be able to maintain intubation
• Work with Mindray cardiac monitors
• Complete mandatory modules (approximately 20 hours) prior to working on floor
• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor depending on needs
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Chart using TruBridge - Evident system
• Care for medical/surgical/PCU patients with potential to work in PCU area
• May rotate through PCU area caring for critically ill patients on drips with invasive monitors
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment and continuous BiPAP/CPAP
• BSN not required
• Will accept first-time travelers

This healthcare facility is a progressive hospital that offers more capabilities than typically expected for a smaller facility and is currently working toward becoming a Level IV hospital. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with an integrated PCU area within the medical-surgical department. The hospital maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy services and has advanced monitoring capabilities, providing a higher level of care while transferring patients requiring ICU services to higher-level facilities when needed.
