RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Call after hours at 1:2 ratio with 20-minute response time required
• Alternating holiday schedule
• 1:1 nurse to patient ratio in Phase 1 recovery
• 1 year experience required, 2 years preferred
• Previous traveler experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Work with 3 ORs and 2 endoscopy rooms
• Recover patients post-anesthesia with close monitoring and airway maintenance
• Calculate Aldreti scores and respond to life-saving situations as needed
• Common cases include endoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and emergency sedated procedures
• Use MEDITECH electronic medical records system
• Read cardiac strips as required
• Scrubs provided by OR department
• 3-5 shifts of unit-specific orientation with buddy call support
• No floating requirements
• All requested time off must be listed on contract upfront for approval
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
