RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work varied shifts including 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour options with primarily day/evening start times
• Shift start time 9:00-9:30 AM
• Must take call 4-6 shifts per 4-week period
• Weekend call requirement either Saturday or Sunday (not both) once per month from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM
• One weeknight call per week from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• No self-scheduling for travelers, but block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs
• No floating required
• Patient ratios: 1:2 in Phase 1 PACU, 1:5 in Phase 2 (SDS)
• Recover all surgical cases except open heart procedures
• Work with 9 PACU bays and 16 same-day-surgery beds
• Handle Phase 1 PACU and Phase 2 (SDS) recovery
• Monitor patients on ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Titrate vasopressors and sedatives in PACU
• Read telemetry strips using Phillips central monitors
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• 2-3 years specialty experience and 2-3 previous travel assignments required
• Orthopedic/neurology experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Driver's license address must be outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for submission
