RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement with Saturday/Sunday considered weekend for both day and night shifts
• Work into permanent staff holiday rotation schedule
• 4-bed ICU unit with 1:4 patient ratios
• Generally staffed with 1 RN in ICU with tech support available
• MedSurg nurse may be floated to help if needed
• Always have 1 PCT (Patient Care Technician) working with RN in ICU
• No floating outside of ICU unless comfortable, may occasionally float to MedSurg
• 1-2 shifts orientation with preceptor
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Use EPIC charting system
• Phillips cardiac monitors hard-wired in each room with central monitor station
• Handle all typical ICU drips and manage 6 ventilators in house
• Care for patients with COVID-pneumonia, post-op (orthopedic, urology), COPD, CHF, and typical MedSurg ICU conditions
• Older population patient demographic
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all AHA)
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of facility
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• BSN not required
• License hits must be disclosed at time of submission

This acute care hospital features a 4-bed ICU unit with comprehensive critical care capabilities including ventilator support and advanced monitoring systems. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy services and has both hospitalist and intensivist coverage in-house seven days a week, with nurse practitioner coverage during night hours. The hospital provides a full range of services including orthopedic and urological procedures, and maintains modern equipment including EPIC electronic medical records and advanced cardiac monitoring systems.
