RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Generally work every third weekend and holiday, with possibility of additional shifts as needed
• Required to work 2 extra shifts in 6 weeks
• Three years NICU experience required
• Must have experience with ventilators and central lines
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score or face termination
• Navy scrubs required as dress code
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must work well with neonatal population with strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently required
• Routine floating to Mother-Baby or L&D units to care for newborns and well babies
• Follow AWHONN/NANN guidelines for patient ratios: 3-4 continuous care, 2-3 intermediate care, 1-2 intensive care, 1 multi-system support care
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
• Driver's license required for distance verification

Facility:

This Level III high-risk perinatal facility features 11 labor and delivery rooms plus 2 OB emergency department beds, 2 operating rooms, 23 postpartum rooms, and a 27-bed Level III NICU. The facility provides comprehensive maternal and neonatal services with practitioners including OB/GYN, Family Practice, and Nurse Midwives. Resources include OB Hospitalists, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Neonatology experts, and 24/7 anesthesiology access, along with neonatal transport services for critical care situations.
