RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float between multiple units including MedSurg/Tele units with 20-36 beds each
• Primary units include 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), with additional floating to 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care units
• Nurse to patient ratios typically 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts on most units
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both day and night shifts)
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must pass cardiac rhythm exam upon arrival
• Report to clinical coordinator's office before shift for unit assignment
• Will be assigned basic telemetry patients within scope of practice
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips but will not titrate drips
• Care for patients with CHF, cardiac catheterization, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with preceptor
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• EPIC charting system used
• 2 shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract

This Level 2 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with multiple specialized units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and critical care departments. The facility utilizes modern technology including Phillips telemetry monitoring systems and maintains dedicated charge nurses on every unit with monitor technicians available for most units. The organization emphasizes cardiac care excellence and requires all nursing staff to demonstrate competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
