RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling with every third weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday considered weekend for nights)
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with 28 beds plus 22 overflow beds
• BLS certification required
• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score or face termination
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Will float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health) as needed
• Care for patients with total knees, total hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical conditions
• Manage IV infusions, heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotics (no drip titration required)
• Use EPIC charting system
• Focus on hourly rounding and bedside shift report
• First week classroom orientation followed by one 12-hour unit shift
• Must be flexible, self-directed, and comfortable with change
