RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both day and night shifts)
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Float between multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:5-6 for both days and nights (occasionally up to 7 patients toward end of shift)
• Report to clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for unit assignment
• Will be assigned basic telemetry patients within scope of practice
• Must take and pass cardiac rhythm examination
• Care for patients with CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips (Phillips monitors)
• Will not titrate drips
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• BSN not required
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule)
• No false nails policy
• Royal blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract

This Level 2 trauma center operates as a comprehensive acute care facility providing medical-surgical and telemetry services across multiple units. The hospital maintains modern equipment including Phillips telemetry monitoring systems and utilizes EPIC electronic health records. The facility features dedicated units for various specialties with monitor technicians available on most units, while respiratory therapy manages CPAP and BiPap equipment for patient care.
