RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float throughout PCU/IMC units covering various specialties including General, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Obs
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• May be asked to enter holiday rotation
• Must float throughout 60-mile radius zone from city center
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, post-surgical patients, and more
• Must be comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Common titratable drips include dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, ativan, insulin, and heparin
• May float to other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with expectation of flexibility
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
• Any color scrubs allowed
• Use EPIC charting system
• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must have 2 years PCU/IMC experience
• Must have experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan
• Prior neuro experience and Epic experience preferred
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
