RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float throughout Zone 1 which covers a 60-mile radius around Colorado Springs, CO
• No home base facility - must float between 5 different hospitals in the zone
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with expectation of flexibility
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:1-2 depending on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratios for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Expected to read and interpret own telemetry strips (no monitor techs)
• May float to other acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor
• Any color scrubs allowed
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler)
• Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Colorado nursing license required
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
