RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• Float throughout Zone 4 covering a 60-mile radius from Garden City, Kansas
• Float between three facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Must float to multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May be assigned to work at different acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Required to obtain housing that makes floating within the 60-mile zone feasible
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two possible formats: single facility assignment for the week or Just-In-Time assignments 1-2 hours before shift start
• Must complete week of orientation in-state
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Preferred experience with neuro, Alaris pumps, and EPIC charting system
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Rare on-call requirements for low census situations
• Care for adult to geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, oncology, renal, post-surgical, and general medicine patients
• Responsible for titrating Heparin drips
