RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 (must be comfortable with up to 1:7 ratio)
• 30-bed medical surgical unit in acute care setting
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results
• Work with telemetry monitoring (watched remotely by monitor techs)
• Intermittent BIPAP equipment available (no ventilators)
• Support from PCTs (patient care technicians) on the unit
• Charge nurse role includes patient assignment
• Float as needed based on census (external travelers float first)
• EPIC charting system
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• BSN not required
