RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement for July 4th
• 16-bed Medical ICU with 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• No nurse aids available on unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (PALS & TNCC preferred)
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score or face termination
• 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must have experience with drips, ventilators, and BiPAPs
• Required to titrate vasopressors and sedation drips (levo, neo, cardene, precedex, propofol, etc.)
• Must be able to read and verify telemetry strips
• May float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) when not needed in ICU
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 1 shift orientation for ICU and 1 shift for PCU
• EPIC charting system
• No call or standby requirements
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Treat patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, STEMI, A-fib RVR, COVID, COPD exacerbation, and pulmonary embolism

This healthcare facility operates a 16-bed Medical ICU providing critical care services with Level 3 trauma capabilities. The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist coverage with intensivists available during day hours and via telemedicine at night. The acute care setting features modern equipment including Draeger telemetry monitors and comprehensive respiratory therapy support shared with the emergency department.
