RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work rotating day and night shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) - 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights
• 12-hour shifts with preceptor during orientation
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-6 on a 22-bed unit
• Weekend requirements average every other weekend on a 6-week rotating schedule
• Holiday rotation required as needed along with permanent staff
• Float first policy when needed
• No call or standby requirements
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have experience with epicardial pacing and chest tubes
• Titrate drips per ordered parameters including Cardizem, amiodarone, procainamide, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, and insulin
• Care for patients with bradycardia, A-fib, SVT, CHF, CAD, NSTEMI, PVD, PE, CVA/TIA, post-operative procedures, and TAVR patients
• Work with chest tubes and tracheotomy patients (no ventilators)
• Use Allscripts charting system
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with no artificial nails
• 50-mile radius requirement with driver's license copy required for submission
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• BSN not required

The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage with respiratory therapy available hospital-wide around the clock. The unit features modern monitoring equipment and provides comprehensive cardiac services including post-operative care for various cardiac procedures. An IV therapy team handles all IV insertions, and the facility uses advanced charting systems to support quality patient care.
