RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday for night shift)
• Rotating holidays including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's
• 1:5 nurse to patient ratio for telemetry patients
• Care for up to 20 patients in private rooms on telemetry unit
• Driver's license required with address outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Minimum 5 years RN experience and 1+ year travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Provide navy blue scrubs
• Float to comparable or lower level units as needed
• Perform point of care blood glucose testing
• Place IVs and draw labs from central lines when ordered
• Understand basic dysrhythmias and verify telemetry strip interpretation
• Care for patients with cardiac monitoring needs, post-catheterization, and respiratory difficulties
• Three-shift orientation process with independent practice by third shift
• May be asked to precept or charge based on comfort level and unit needs
• Call-off policy requires 2 hours advance notice through hospital supervisor
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

The organization maintains modern technology including EPIC charting systems and offers a supportive environment with designated charge nurses, patient care technicians, and monitor technicians for comprehensive patient care.
