RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts
• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score to continue contract
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be competent with arterial lines
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Floating requirements to MedSurg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• One day of unit-specific orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, respiratory conditions, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure
• Work with equipment including overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanners, and high flow oxygen
• Must be flexible, willing to learn, and accept feedback
• Strong communication skills and team player mentality required
• Serve diverse cultural populations including Hispanic and Somalian communities
• Epic charting system used
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
• 30-minute response time required if called back from on-call status
