RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM shifts with call responsibilities
• Alternative schedule available: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday with some charge responsibilities after hours (3-7 PM / 5-7 PM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Will scrub and circulate in cardiovascular operating room performing all open heart and vascular procedures
• Vascular procedures include both open and percutaneous approaches
• Assist anesthesia with induction and transport patients from pre-op area to PACU or inpatient unit
• Experience with open heart procedures strongly preferred
• Familiarity with hybrid operating suite beneficial
• Call requirements include weekend call coverage and some Monday through Thursday call shifts
• Weekend call coverage from 3:00 PM Friday through 6:30 AM Monday
• Call frequency depends on number of travelers: every third weekend with two travelers, every other weekend with one traveler
• Must pass 90% open book skills exam on Friday during orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR preferred
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience helpful but not required
• Flexible scheduling preferred, no block schedules offered
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
