RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float within Zone 1 covering a 60-mile radius around Colorado Springs, CO
• Float between five facilities: Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• No home base facility - must be available to work at any facility within the zone
• Work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in Holiday Rotation
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two formats: assigned to single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignment 1-2 hours before shift
• Float across multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May float to different acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Care for adult to geriatric population with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, post-surgical patients
• Titrate Heparin drips as required
• Use EPIC charting system
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience required
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must obtain housing that makes floating within 60-mile radius feasible
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
