RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 20-bed unit with 2:1 patient ratio, though 1:1 is common for higher acuity patients
• Strict 75-mile radius restriction for candidates
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Chart using MEDITECH system
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Care for neuro patients with brain drains and herniation
• Manage ortho trauma patients requiring traction
• Work with cardiovascular devices including balloon pumps, impellas, and ekos
• Provide post-operative care for open-heart CABG patients
• Handle open abdomen cases from OR that may be re-opened at bedside
• Future involvement with planned ECMO program starting this summer
• Manage renal patients requiring CRRT that RNs run at bedside
• Receive medical ICU overflow patients when sister units are full
• ICU or STICU experience in level 1-2 trauma centers preferred
• Specialized training provided for advanced devices on top of generic ICU experience
