RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend requirement every other weekend based on unit needs/demands
• Holiday requirement negotiable
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3, with unstable ventilator patients at 1:1 ratio
• 5-bed ICU unit handling mixed patient populations including occasional stable pediatric patients
• Must be comfortable with all age populations
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Oregon license required - if no Oregon license in hand, can apply for 90-day Oregon Emergency License
• Must have experience with ventilators and drip titrations
• Required to titrate drips including heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, and sedation/analgesia
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, DKA, COPD exacerbation, RSV/Influenza/COVID-19
• CCU RNs read telemetry strips for med-surg patients
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Unit-specific orientation of 3-6 shifts, longer if needed
• Floating requirements include assisting as "helping hands" if not fully cross-trained
• If placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call
• MEDITECH charting system
• BSN not required
