RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (possibly 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks (2 weekends per month)
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in 12-bed emergency department
• Float between Litchfield FSED and Glendale FSED locations
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam required on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion
• 2-day floor-specific orientation required
• Must have own vehicle for travel between locations
• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrubs required
• Perform all labs, EKGs, patient transport, and transfers
• Work with lower acuity patients (ESI 3-4) including abdominal pain, headaches, and stabilization of critically ill for transfer
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• Work alongside PCTs, paramedics, 1 ED physician, and 1 mid-level provider during day shifts
