RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
• 21-bed medical surgical unit with average census of 15-16 patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6 when necessary
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must have experience with dysrhythmia reading
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, post-operative orthopedic cases, and laparoscopic cholecystectomies
• Manage telemetry patients and read own telemetry strips
• Work with CPAP equipment as needed
• Handle heparin drips (no drip titration required)
• Team nursing approach with Patient Care Technicians at 1:5 ratio
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Epic charting system training provided if needed
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of facility
• No floating, call, or standby requirements
• No holiday requirements
• Block scheduling available when possible
• BSN not required
