Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with available times: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, 1:00 PM-1:00 AM, or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Night and/or evening shifts available (manager will discuss specific schedule during phone interview)
• Every other weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
• Holiday requirement unless specified off in signed contract
• Rare call requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4
• Handle approximately 37 patients per day in 11-bed emergency department
• Must have 2-3 years of emergency room experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Must be independent thinker and self-motivated
• ER RNs handle all aspects of patient care including drawing blood, reading telemetry strips, and managing ER holds
• Direct bedding until full, then quick triage process
• Handle standard ER patients including psych patients in Room 3
• Work with MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Unit-specific orientation of 2-3 twelve-hour days
• Floating only if desired and usually not required for ER
• Can apply for 90-day Oregon Emergency License
• Phone interview with unit manager required
• Trauma Level 4 facility

This acute care hospital operates a busy 11-bed emergency department that serves as a Trauma Level 4 facility. The emergency department features in-house security, 24/7 respiratory therapy services, and imaging department located adjacent to the ER for efficient patient care. The facility maintains comprehensive emergency services with dedicated staff including emergency physicians working 12-hour shifts and supports a collaborative care environment where ER nurses provide comprehensive patient care.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
