RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with call responsibilities
• Monday through Thursday schedule with some charge responsibilities after hours (3-7 PM / 5-7 PM)
• Weekend call coverage required every other weekend from 3:00 PM Friday through 6:30 AM Monday
• Weekday call responsibilities 1-2 shifts Monday through Thursday depending on weekend call assignment
• Will scrub and circulate in cardiovascular operating room performing open heart and vascular procedures
• Assist anesthesia with induction and transport patients from pre-op to PACU or inpatient units
• May float to Main OR on lower volume days or when cases finish early in CV OR
• Handle 1-9 surgeries per day with average of 25-30 cases per week
• Work with three cardiac surgeons and three vascular surgeons in up to 4 operating rooms
• Pass/fail examination required on Friday during orientation with 90% passing score
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR preferred
• Experience with open heart procedures strongly preferred
• Familiarity with hybrid operating suite beneficial
• Navy blue scrubs required (artificial nails prohibited)
• Use EPIC charting system
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and provide driver's license for verification
• 13-week assignment length

The facility performs both open and percutaneous vascular procedures and maintains a hybrid operating suite. The organization emphasizes high standards with mandatory competency testing and maintains strict policies to ensure quality patient care in acute care settings.
