RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for nights; Saturday/Sunday for days)
• Holiday coverage required based on unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 (1:4 if COVID patients)
• Care for patients with infectious diseases, isolation requirements, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff
• Must have strong knowledge in MedSurg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions
• EPIC experience required
• Travel experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• May be required to float to other MedSurg units
• No cardiac drips; manage Heparin and typical MedSurg IV medications
• Royal blue scrubs required (scrub jackets optional but must be royal blue if worn)
• 1-day EPIC orientation followed by 1-day floor orientation with preceptor
• Remote telemetry monitoring with no strip interpretation required
• Valid driver's license copy required for all submissions

This medical center features an 18-bed MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit with all private rooms specifically designed for infectious disease care. The facility maintains a comprehensive approach to patient safety with isolation protocols and specialized equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy. The unit is supported by 24/7 charge nurses, certified nursing assistants, and remote telemetry monitoring to ensure quality patient care.
