RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour day shifts per week
• PreOp starts at 6:00 AM, Phase 2 starts at 7:00 AM, Phase 1 starts at 8:00 AM
• Call required for nights and weekends (approximately 3-4 call shifts per month)
• Weekend requirement usually once every 8 weeks
• Call response time of 30 minutes - must be dressed and ready to work
• Must be able to work in PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 areas
• No floating outside of department required
• Follow ASPAN guidelines with nurse-to-patient ratios never exceeding 1:2 in Phase 1
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work with EPIC charting system
• Floor-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with preceptor after main hospital orientation
• Maximum 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility

The facility features a comprehensive perioperative environment with PreOp, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery areas. The medical center maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy services and utilizes modern technology including EPIC electronic medical records and Phillips telemetry monitoring systems.
