RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend position covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Work on 29-bed flex unit serving both floor and step-down patients based on patient and hospital needs
• Nurse to patient ratios: 3:1 for step-down patients, 6:1 for med-surge floor patients
• Care for diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses
• Titrate drips including heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, and various PCAs
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
• EPIC experience required
• BSN not required - open to new and experienced nurses
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Remote telemetry surveillance available - RNs not expected to read their own strips
• Clinical Associates provide support with 1:10 ratio
• First to float to other floor/step-down units when needed
• Expected to work approximately half of recognized holidays
• No call or standby requirements
• Dress code: any combination of royal blue and white scrubs
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for shorter assignments

This major academic medical center features a brand-new 29-bed step-down unit currently under construction, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026. The facility maintains high standards of care with 24/7 charge nurses and house supervisors, advanced telemetry monitoring systems, and comprehensive respiratory therapy services. The organization utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides a supportive environment for both new and experienced nurses with dedicated clinical associates and specialized equipment.
