Allied Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available
Opportunity:
Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech
Job Details:
• Work five 8-hour shifts with varied hours (6:00 AM and 10:00 AM start times available)
• Overnight call once per week required
• Call coverage required on at least 3 days per week
• Cover 3 weekend days per month (1 full weekend)
• No regular weekend schedule
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must have strong cardiovascular operating room experience and be confident in skills
• Work in fast-paced OR environment handling 8-10 surgeries per day
• Assist with CABG, valve surgeries, and all heart procedures (no thoracic)
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Experience with ventilators required
• Work in 4-suite CVOR unit
• May float to other Sacramento facilities (rare mid-shift floats possible)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
• NIHSS certification required
• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Scrubs provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
