RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6-8 on nights
• Required certifications: BLS, RN License
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Responsible for titrating drips including heparin, Bumex, and Lasix (no cardiac drip titration)
• Floating requirements to other Med Surg, Med Surg-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patients
• Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness
• Work with respiratory therapists who manage breathing treatments and equipment
• Monitor telemetry patients with support from dedicated monitor technicians
• Dress code requirement: Navy blue scrubs
• Charting system: EPIC
• 2-day orientation: 1 day educator/computer system, 1 day with preceptor
• Schedule flexibility required to fill gaps in permanent schedule
• No call or standby requirements
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• BSN not required
