RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with variable start times of 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11:00 AM - primarily 11:00 AM start
• Maintain 1:2 nurse to patient ratio in 22-bed PACU unit
• Handle Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery patients
• Care for patients recovering from orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
• ICU patients may recover in PACU requiring advanced monitoring skills
• Required to read cardiac strips and work with respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
• On-call requirement of 1 night every 6 weeks with 1-hour response time
• Weekend and holiday call requirements
• Subject to floating as first priority
• Must have ED or ICU experience
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Work within Epic EMR system
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
• PACU and surgery center orientation provided
• 60-mile radius requirement with driver's license submission
