RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with call responsibilities evenings and weekends
• On-call one evening per week (3:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and 2 Saturdays or Sundays per month (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
• Standard 30-minute response time for call situations
• Float between Bryan and College Station campus (16 minutes apart) as needed
• Must have at least 4-5 years of hospital experience with exceptional references preferred
• Must have cardiovascular experience and ability to circulate CABGs (scrubbing experience is a plus)
• Required robotics experience with both Mako robot (Ortho) and DaVinci robot (General, Urology, and CV)
• Must circulate in all specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, ortho, general surgery, eyes, endo, and cysto procedures
• Experience with craniotomies essential for frequent after-hours call cases
• Must handle ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and ORIF procedures
• Proficiency required in DaVinci robot operations for laparoscopic procedures and open belly/trauma cases
• May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
• Call-outs strongly discouraged and could lead to termination
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required but nursing license submission required
