Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Float pool position covering MedSurg Tele and PCU across both East and West campuses
• May include caring for inpatients holding in Emergency Department
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday schedule follows permanent staff rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• Unit assignments communicated 2 hours prior to shift start via text message
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Schedule published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time
• Flexible scheduling required as float pool nurse
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• At least 1 year PCU experience required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Must be able to interpret telemetry strips independently
• Care for geriatric patients, orthopedic patients, post-cardiac catheterization patients, post-MI patients, and CABG post-op day 3-4 patients
• Comfortable managing groin sites in stepdown unit
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow
• Use Cerner charting system
• Solid color professional scrubs required (Navy scrubs starting in October)
• 8-hour general hospital orientation plus unit-specific training
• Travel distance between campuses is approximately 20-25 minutes

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.
Cons
Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
