RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic/Neuro

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Work holidays as needed based on unit staffing requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 (nights typically closer to 1:5)
• Float to any medical-surgical unit (excluding emergency department and behavioral health)
• One shift orientation with preceptor plus Net Learning Modules and EPIC training
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• ACLS preferred but not required
• BSN degree not required
• Must have basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms
• Work with telemetry monitoring (remotely monitored)
• Handle IV drips including Heparin and Protonix (no cardiac or titrating drips)
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, natural hair colors only
• Excessive or distasteful tattoos must be covered
• Use EPIC electronic medical records and Omnicell pharmacy system
• Care for patients with total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, craniotomies, seizures, traction patients, and medical-surgical overflow
• Attendance is critically important for this position
