RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5-7 on day shifts, 1:6-8 on night shifts
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required to titrate certain drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration)
• Floating requirements include rotation to other Med-Surg, Med-Surg-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patients
• Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and falls/weakness
• Schedule made by manager with flexibility for requested time off
• Rotating shifts spread out over 2-week periods (2 weeks days/2 weeks nights)
• No call or standby requirements
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
• Unit orientation includes 1 day with educator/computer system and 1 day with preceptor
• Charting system: EPIC
• Must reside within 50-mile radius and provide copy of unexpired driver's license
• Required certifications: BLS and RN License
• BSN not required
