Mammo Tech - Mammo Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday with shift options of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• No call requirements
• Required dress code: Black scrubs
• Must be ARRT Board registered in Radiology Technologist and Mammography Technologist
• Registered Mammographer with experience in 3D Tomosynthesis training required
• Preferred experience with Hologic Mammography equipment and Epic
• Perform correlative breast examinations and document scars, moles and pertinent findings
• Provide individualized breast self-examination instruction to patients
• Identify all patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Demonstrate strong skills with radioactive material safety
• Perform mammography procedures in a technically proficient manner including proper application of breast compression, positioning and various special mammography views
• Prepare patients for mammography procedures and ensure physical safety and comfort
• Communicate instructions clearly and explain procedures to help alleviate patient fears
• Perform equipment quality control procedures utilizing radioactive sources and evaluate results to ensure equipment performance meets acceptable standards
• Parking available in front or back of office or in staff parking lot depending on location
