Opportunity:

Surgical Technician - CVOR

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Work as part of the cardiovascular operating room team delivering surgical care
• Specialize in heart and vascular services with knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques
• Organize and prepare case set-ups according to standard operating procedures
• Assist Registered Nurse with circulating duties including preps, retrieving supplies, and printing pictures
• Clean, assemble, operate, and care for instruments, supplies, and equipment used in team specialties
• Provide patient care according to diagnosis/procedure utilizing procedure cards
• Document procedure changes on procedure cards following each case
• Responsible for ordering and stocking supplies
• Assist with on-call cases including Lab and Blood Bank coordination
• Participate in measuring and monitoring quality indicators and outcomes
• Serve as subject matter expert for vascular and endovascular procedures
• Identify and communicate unusual techniques and instruments required for complex surgeries
• Must have North Dakota license (may be registered as Unlicensed Assistive Person, RN, or LPN)
• BLS certification required prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years experience in cardiovascular operating room required
• Travel experience required with preference for 3 completed assignments
• Strong cardiovascular operating room experience essential
