RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed
• Work 12-hour shifts with scheduling patterns that may include weekdays and/or weeknights based on coverage needs
• Night shift schedule: Sunday night through Thursday night
• Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday
• Maintain up to 2:1 patient ratio for ICU boarder patients
• Care for patients who may include ventilated, vasoactive infusion, or other critical care needs while boarding in the ED
• Assignment remains within the ED boarder care model - not expected to take regular ED patient assignments
• May be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within clinical competency if organizational needs change
• Recent critical care experience required
• Competency with ventilators, drips, and high-acuity patients preferred
• Required certifications: Active RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Must demonstrate strong inpatient clinical skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Work in fast-paced Emergency Department setting collaborating with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services
• Support patient safety, throughput, and continuity of care during periods of high hospital census
