Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week on day shifts
• RN patient ratios: 4:1 on days, 5:1 on nights
• Float to other units as needed
• Must have experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery
• Common diagnoses include ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, and sepsis
• Required experience with chest tubes, various tubes and drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
• Experience needed with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
• Must be comfortable with trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring
• Experience required with complex wounds and central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
• On-call responsibilities included
• Required certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support)
