Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week in critical care environment
• Float between NCCU and SICU and other critical care units as needed
• Work in 10-bed NCCU (Neuro Critical Care Unit) - only unit of its kind in Northern New England
• Care for primary stroke center patients including ischemic strokes requiring thrombectomy and TPA, hemorrhagic strokes requiring ventriculostomies and emergent evacuations
• Handle neuro surgery patients including tumor resections and brain/spine abscesses
• Manage neuro-medical conditions such as meningitis, encephalitis, and neuro-muscular disorders
• Work in 18-bed SICU with surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure and sepsis patients
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring
• Care for ventilated patients requiring pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with line insertion and maintenance
• Manage lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
• Handle ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVDs
• Monitor PA lines and perform waveform interpretation
• Critical care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
