Opportunity:

Histotechnologist - Histotechnologist

Job Details:

• Work day shifts starting at either 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with March 16th start date
• Must comply with 100-mile radius rule
• Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, and chemistry or HTL certification from recognized agency required
• Histotechnician AAS NY State license required
• Process, embed, cut and stain surgical and autopsy tissue specimens
• Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures
• Prepare microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist
• Maintain proper documentation and supply/equipment management
• Perform specialized, selective techniques required for diagnostic purposes
• Participate in Quality Assurance program
• Responsible for correct management of patient body tissue
