Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Histotechnologist - Histotechnologist

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with start times of either 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Must comply with 100-mile radius rule
• Bachelor of Science in medical technology, biology, and chemistry or HTL certification from recognized agency required
• Histotechnician AAS NY State license required
• Process, embed, cut and stain surgical and autopsy tissue according to established policies and procedures
• Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens for Pathologist's examination and interpretation
• Manage patient's body tissue and prepare microscopic sections for diagnosis
• Maintain documentation and supplies/equipment management responsibilities
• Perform specialized, selective techniques required for diagnostic purposes
• Participate in Quality Assurance program activities
