RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 32-bed surgical unit exclusively focused on medical-surgical care
• 36 hours per week with all shift options available
• RN patient ratios: 4:1 on days and 5:1 on nights
• Must have surgical experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery
• Expected to float to other units as needed
• On-call responsibilities required
• Must have experience with chest tubes, various tubes and drains for post-surgical patients
• Required to manage drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
• Experience needed with trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring
• Must be skilled in complex wound care
• Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required
• Common patient diagnoses include ARDS, esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, and sepsis
• Unit shares LNA resources with PCU at ratios of 1:7-11
