RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week on a 32-bed surgical unit
• Must have surgical experience with post-operative patient care
• Experience required caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal and general surgery
• Handle common diagnoses including ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, and sepsis
• RN patient ratios: 4:1 on day shifts, 5:1 on night shifts
• LNA ratios: 1:7-11 (unit shares with PCU)
• Expected to float to other units as needed
• On-call responsibilities required
• Must have experience with chest tubes, various tubes and drains for post-surgical patients
• Required experience with IV drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
• Must be comfortable with trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring
• Experience needed with complex wound care
• Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required
