Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekend requirements
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Must have 3 years of clinical experience in Level III-IV NICU
• Level 4 NICU experience required - Level 1 or 2 experience will not be considered
• Must have at least one prior travel assignment
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• NCC Neonatal ICU RN certification preferred
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS
• Patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:3-4 based on acuity
• Ancillary support includes 1-2 PCTs per shift
• Floating required within ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, IMU)
• 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing required
• Work with equipment including GE, Servo, Kangaroo Care, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, HFOV, Jet Vent, and IMV
• Must pass fit test and nicotine test
• Must test negative for nicotine
• Follow facility dress code requirements
• Pyxis medication system used
• Scheduling managed by manager or scheduler - no self scheduling

This 359-bed trauma level 1 teaching hospital features a comprehensive 104-bed NICU with 8 beds per pod configuration. The facility provides advanced neonatal care with 24/7 neonatologist coverage, advanced practice providers on unit, and multi-disciplinary team support. The NICU cares for micro-premies from 23 weeks, handles complex surgeries and medical conditions, and offers family-centered amenities including 24/7 family cameras for 75 beds, family advisory board, private Facebook support page, and annual reunions. The facility maintains state-of-the-art equipment and provides comprehensive respiratory and anesthesia support.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
